This is the privacy policy for the ParkSmarty mobile app, operated by StockSmarty Limited. It is hosted on the StockSmarty domain because both apps are run by the same company. For the StockSmarty service, see the StockSmarty Privacy Policy.
This policy explains how the ParkSmarty mobile app handles your information.
ParkSmarty ("we", "us", "our") is operated by StockSmarty Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 17088000). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
Contact: support@stock-smarty.com
ParkSmarty works without an account. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or password.
Anonymous ID. The first time you open the app, a random ID is created for your device. It is not linked to your name, email or phone number. It is used only to keep your saved trips together and make sure only your device can see them.
Trips. When you save a plan: the park, date, arrival and leaving times, the rides you chose, planned times and expected waits.
Check-ins. When you tap Done on a ride: the time, the wait the park posted, and — only if you choose to enter it — how long you actually queued.
Feedback. If you send feedback from the app: your message, the category you chose, the park you had open, and your app version and phone type (iPhone or Android). We never ask for your name or email.
Technical logs. Our database provider keeps standard security logs (such as IP address and time of request) for a limited period. We do not use these to identify you.
What we do not collect. Your location (the app never asks for GPS access), contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or anything else on your device.
To provide the Service (legal basis: performance of a contract) — saving your trips so you can reopen and edit them, and tracking your day against your plan.
To improve wait estimates (legal basis: legitimate interests, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — comparing the queue times you choose to record with what parks posted, combined across many visitors. This is only ever used in aggregate. You can object at any time by not entering queue times, or by deleting your data.
We do not send marketing, and we do not use your data for advertising or profiling.
Supabase (database and anonymous sign-in) — stores your anonymous ID, trips and check-ins. Our database is hosted in the European Union (Ireland). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Resend (email delivery) — forwards feedback you send from the app to our support inbox. It receives only your message and the details listed above.
Railway (backend infrastructure) — runs the services that collect wait times and weather. It does not process your trips or check-ins.
Queue-Times.com and OpenWeather (wait-time and weather data) — our servers fetch public data from them. None of your data is sent to either.
We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing platforms.
Your data is stored in our Supabase database in Ireland. Supabase, Inc. is a US-based company; where any data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Security measures include: all data sent over HTTPS/TLS; Row Level Security on our database so each device can only read, change or delete its own trips; and service keys held only on our servers, never in the app.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is 100% secure.
Automatic deletion. Trips and their check-ins are deleted automatically 12 months after the trip date.
Deleting your data. Settings & info (the i button) → Delete all my data permanently removes every trip and check-in saved from your device straight away. You can also delete any single trip in the Trips tab.
If you delete the app. Your anonymous ID is lost with it. Trips left on our server can then no longer be linked to anyone, and are removed under the 12-month rule.
Feedback. Kept for up to 2 years so we can track and fix issues, then deleted.
Aggregated, non-personal statistics (such as average queue accuracy for a ride) may be kept indefinitely.
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.
Because we hold no name or email, the quickest way to erase your data is the in-app delete option. For anything else, contact us at support@stock-smarty.com and quote the anonymous ID shown in Settings & info (the i button) so we can find your data. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
The app stores a sign-in token for your anonymous ID, the last park you viewed, and whether you have dismissed the welcome note. These are strictly necessary for the app to work. Only the token leaves your device, to prove which trips are yours.
Notifications. If you allow notifications, trip reminders are scheduled on your phone from your saved trips. Your notification settings and any trips you have muted are stored on your phone only. We do not create a push token and nothing about your notifications is sent to us. You can turn them off in Settings in the app or in your phone's settings.
There are no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers in the app.
ParkSmarty is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has saved data in the app, use Delete all my data or contact us and we will remove it.
ParkSmarty is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Disney, Universal, Merlin Entertainments, SeaWorld or any other park operator.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
For any questions about this policy or to exercise your data rights, contact us at support@stock-smarty.com.
For help using the app, see ParkSmarty Support. Our Terms of Use set out the terms on which the app is provided.
